creative director: lou anne colodny

lou anne colodny’s experiences in dance, theater and museum administration have greatly informed her artist life. 

She has been working as an artist since her departure from the non-profit world. Creating installations, video, drawings and multi-media works have become her passion. She has received many prestigious awards throughout her career including the Cultural Consortium Fellowship in the Visual and Media Arts for Broward County. 

Her works are in the Permanent Collections at MAM (Miami Museum of Art), Miami, Florida; the Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona Beach, Florida; MoCA, Museum of Contemporary Art Optic Nerve archive, North Miami, Florida; Miami-Dade Community College, Miami-Dade Public Library Collection, and the Okaloosa-Walton College, Niceville, Florida.

Colodny was the Founding director of MoCA, Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami, FL. And director of its precursor COCA for 15 years. She has run “under the bridge art space” for 9 years.

under the bridge art space APPPOINTS william cordova its Co-Director 2021

MIAMI, Fla. (2021 ) – under the bridge art space, located in North Miami in the Bridge Red Complex since 2011, is proud to announce the appointment of william cordova  as its Co-Director . 

In his new position, william cordova will focus on expanding under the bridge’s role as one of Miami’s leading contemporary art spaces which supports emerging and established artists without gallery representation.

With 25 years of experience as a cultural practitioner, william cordova brings a multi-dimensional perspective and experiences as artist, curator, writer, mentor and collaborator to the programming at under the bridge. He is equally interested in illuminating South Florida’s multi-generational arts community by contributing critical essays, publications and panel discussions to increase their presence.
